Our Vision

To become Asia's largest supply chain plantation company while continuously advancing our business growth as a global enterprise with strong roots in the ASEAN region.

Musang Valley - Introduction 3

Our Mission

• To provide consumers with safe and high-quality produce and food with the integration of quality resources.

• To accelerate our brand and business growth by harnessing the power of data and digitalization.

What We Do

The Challenge

We are a smart farming agricultural team that utilize both hardware, software and data analytics in planting our durian plantation. We will carry out tree profiling and tagging on each Durian tree so that each of our durian tree will have their own identity number following with their coordinate on the map, their age, and their status.

Our Solution

Every single action and process on the tree will be tracked. We will be notified once there is any abnormal status in the tree and action can be taken in time to prevent further loss. Besides, with all the data, actionable insight can be drawn to maximize productivity and minimize cost.

The above image shows all the Durian tree identification and their location on the map. This is a 2,700-acres land and each acre of land are planted with 30 Durian trees. Each tree will have its own coordinate and all this data are accessible through the software.

Why Are We Different

Compared to other smart farming in Malaysia, we are more specialized in utilizing technology in plantation. The current technology used in Malaysia farming industry are limited to only water, soil and fertilization tracking.

However, our resources invested in smart farming are not bound by this limitation. We are able to track not only water, soil and fertilization but also the quality of each durian and the health status of each Durian tree.

Musang Valley - Why Are We Different 2

Why Smart Farming?

  1. Reduce Cost
The cost is mainly spent on labour when harvesting the fruits. After implementing smart harvesting, we can use robots to harvest the fruits automatically instead of manual labour.

  2. Increase Productivity
Smart harvest technologies offer better insight into the crops to identify and relay the harvest potential to the farmers, leading to an increase in productivity.

  3. Fruits Prediction
Smart system has the ability to foresee production results. This allows company to plan for better product distribution and better control over the internal processes.

Our Revenue Model

Musang Valley - Revenue Model

MVA has utilized smart farming and installed advanced technology, IoT, on 2,700 acres of soil to reduce the waste of water, food, fertilizer, and pesticides. The company also has an efficient traceability system that records information and data throughout the entire process to ensure product quality and safety.

IoT track every single durian allowed us to perform attendance & performance control, field inspection & tree health control, water management control, fertilizer application control and pest & disease control.

With IoT, we are able to maximize the productivity of each durian and generate the greatest amount of value from our investment.

Musang Valley - Revenue Model 2

Chain traceability and internal traceability In MVA manufacturing processes,we able to collect and manage information regarding what has been done in manufacturing processes from acceptance of raw materials and parts to shipment of products.

With the help of IoT, we are also able to accurately pinpoint the harvesting period of each durian tree to prevent any wastage. Besides, we can identify and sperate the durian according to their grade. This help to smoothen the distribution process and also allowed accurate accounting and reporting on the revenue generated.
