Introduction

For Muslims, Ramadan is considered to be the holiest month of all in the Islamic calendar. Muslims commemorate this month by fasting, connecting more with our faith, and becoming more compassionate to those in need. The month of Ramadan should not leave people feeling excluded out of society just because some are less fortunate than others. 

Ata Plus is supporting the Youth Empowerment Foundation Malaysia Ramadan Kareem Special Project 2022, in an effort to make a difference and help our Malaysian brothers and sisters who are less fortunate. In the spirit of Ramadan, we would like to invite you to be a part of this impactful initiative to raise funds for the betterment of the disadvantaged Muslim communities in Malaysia.100% of the funds raised will be allocated towards orphans, Asnaf families, the elderlies, shelter homes, and tahfiz schools. 

For every RM10 that the public donates, Ata Plus has pledged to match RM1 up to RM2,000.

About the Youth Empowerment Foundation (YEF) Malaysia

Founded in 2009, YEF is a non-profit organization, Registration No: PPAB 67/2021. Its mission is to help underprivileged teenagers from the Department of Social Welfare’s Children Institutions, Private Orphanages and unfortunate families move towards their next phase of development through guidance and support. The organization conducts community programs that involve people from less privileged backgrounds. Additionally, YEF Malaysia seeks to help other beneficiaries or needy residents in the community such as Asnaf families, people with special needs, and elderly shelters. 

YEF first initiated the Ramadan Program in 2016. The key beneficiaries of this program are Asnaf families, Orphans, Elderlies and Tahfiz students. In the last 6 years, As at 2021, YEF has cumulatively raised a total of RM329,700 for 13,095 beneficiaries. The breakdown are illustrated as follows:
